CCHS Students Visit WKU & See Our Town

Posted On: Tuesday, September 29, 2015

On Monday, September 28th, thirty-four CCHS students in the Gifted & Talented program visited the campus of Western Kentucky University and watched Our Town, performed by students in the WKU Theatre Program.  Since its debut in 1938 at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey, Thornton Wilder's Pulitzer prize winning play Our Town has enjoyed virtually continuous production, on stages all around the world.  It's been adapted for radio, television, and the cinema, and has been translated into at least 30 different languages.  After the play, students had the opportunity to participate in a talkback and ask questions of the stage manager and lead actors.
