The Clinton County High School Academic Team competed in the District Governor's Cup competition at Monroe County High School on Saturday, January 30th. The team placed 1st overall, with the Quick Recall team placing 2nd and the FPS team placing 1st. The following students placed in Written Assessment: Zach Garmon (4th in Mathematics and 3rd in Science); Zach McFall (1st in Mathematics and 1st in Arts and Humanities); Jared Upchurch (5th in Science and 3rd in Social Studies); Levi Neathery (2nd in Science and 2nd in Social Studies); Noah Stockton (1st in Social Studies); Chandra Tallent (4th in Language Arts). Tori Beaty, Matthew Hunter, Frank Zheng, and Vivian Zheng placed 1st in Future Problem Solving (FPS). The Quick Recall team, consisting of Matthew Hunter, Frank Zheng, Levi Neathery, Jared Grant, Zach McFall, Noah Stockton, Zach Garmon, Jared Upchurch, Mildred Dominguez, Sidney Dominguez, Chandra Tallent, and Mary Willen Cross, placed 2nd. The team will advance to the Regional Governor's Cup Competition on Saturday, February 20th at South Warren High School.
