Science Club Tours Mammoth Cave

Members of the Clinton County High School Science Club took a tour of Mammoth Cave on April 24th.  They learned about soldiers in the War of 1812, who used chemistry to filter nitrogen from the rocks in the cave to make gun powder.  This was an integral part of the war. They also learned about White Nose Disease and how it has affected the bat population east of the Mississippi. Members of the Clinton County High School Science Club took a tour of Mammoth Cave on April 24th.
