CCHS students who had perfect attendance for the month of October had the opportunity to participate in a real-life CHOPPED competition on Tuesday, November 19th. The event was hosted by Stacy Smith of the Clinton County Cooperative Extension Office. Students competed in teams of two or three. Each team was given a mystery bag with three ingredients and were challenged to create a dish using these ingredients and at least two others from the "pantry." Extra points were awarded to teams that used items from all food groups. Completed dishes were judged by a panel of experts. One team from each grade level 9th - 12th was selected as the winner. Members of the winning teams received gift cards from local restaurants.
