CCHS Academic Team Wins District Governor's Cup

The CCHS Academic Team competed in District Governor’s Cup on Saturday, January 25the at Monroe County High School.  The team placed 1st overall, winning district for the 9th consecutive year.  The team also placed 1st in Quick Recall and 2nd in FPS.  The FPS team includes Evan Little, Loren Little, Ashton Daniels, and Ryan Bair.  The following students placed in written assessment:

  • Jake Boils (1st in math, 4th in science)
  • Conlan Beck (1st in social studies, 2nd in arts & humanities)
  • Alex Duvall (4th social studies)
  • Katie Jones (2nd in composition)
  • Evan Little (1st in arts & humanities)
  • Loren Little (1st in language arts)
  • Moriah Moons (3rd in composition)
  • Jaden Mullins (3rd in arts & humanities)
  • Emma Tompkins (5th in science and 3rd in social studies)

The entire team advances to Regional Governor’s Cup at South Warren High School on February 10th and 15th.  The FPS team is coached by Mrs. Gina Poore.  The Quick Recall and Written Assessment teams are coached by Mrs. Danielle Hicks.  (Not pictured - Ryan Bair).

The Clinton County High Academic Team has claimed the championship at District Governor's Cup for the 9th consecutive year!
