Healthy Hometown 1K / 5K

Over 500 people attended the event, including 148 runners in the 5K and over 200 persons in the 1K.  The 1K participants received a medallion upon crossing the finish line.  The first 25 runners who crossed the finish line in the 5K received roses, donated by City Florist.  Trophies were awarded to the top three male and female runners in each category of the 5K.  The trophies were donated by Ricky Craig of First Place Trophies.  All participants received a t-shirt.  The t-shirts were sponsored by:  Shearer Drug, Dyer Drug, Fitzgerald Glider Kits, First and Farmers National Bank, Monticello Banking Company, People’s Bank and Trust Company, Equity Group, Davis Insurance Group, Albany Full Service, Cumberland Family Medical Center, City Florist, Clinton County News, Kentucky Farm Bureau, State Farm (Lisa Beard), United Country Land and Lakes Realty and Auction, Kelly’s Jewelry and Gifts, Pattie’s Salon, Upchurch Carpet, Upchurch Service Station, Vision Care of Albany, Stockton Concrete, Healthy Kids Clinic, Sun Fiberglass Products of Kentucky, and Cobb.  Through the event, the Healthy Hometown Coalition raised over $1,500.00 for a new merry-go-round at Mountain View Park!  Thanks to everyone who participated in any way!

The top runners in the 10 & under category were:  Female—Ella Marlow (1st), Makayla Smith (2nd), & Ashton Daniels (3rd).  Male—Thomas Oesterreicher (1st), TJ Smith (2nd), & Braden Fulton (3rd).  The top runners in the 11—13 category were:  Female—Makaya Gregory (1st), Abbi Young (2nd), & Shelby Brumley (3rd).  Male—Braden Stockton (1st), Adam Herald (2nd), & Zayne Murphy (3rd).  The top runners in the 14—16 category were:  Female—London Honeycutt (1st), Bailey Gibson (2nd), & Ashton Thrasher (3rd).  Male—Jeffrey Collins (1st), Dylan Groce (2nd), & Jacob Bertram (3rd).  The top runners in the 17—19 category were:  Female—Cheyenne Thompson (1st), Marika Lowhorn (2nd), & Makayla Lee (3rd).  Male—Michael Collins (1st), Jacob Cross (2nd), & Caleb York (3rd).  The top runners in the 20—29 category were:  Female—Stephanie Reneau (1st), Amanda Reneau (2nd), & Regina Corder (3rd).  Male—Oscar Pelland (1st), Sage Evans (2nd), & Matthew Savage (3rd).  The top runners in the 30—39 category were:  Female—Ashley Duvall (1st), Shannon Roeper (2nd), & Crystal Crabtree (3rd).  Male—Craig Smith (1st) & Josh Reneau (2nd).  The top runners in the 40—49 category were:  Female—Melissa Tompkins (1st), Kim Stockton (2nd), & Susan Flowers (3rd).  Male—Jamie Reagan (1st), Mike Williams (2nd), & James Owens (3rd).  The top runners in the 50—59 category were:  Female—Norma Anderson (1st), Sherri Shepard (2nd), & Scarlett Hise (3rd).  Male—Ricky Anderson (1st), Charles Anderson (2nd), & Johnny DeRossett (3rd).  The top runners in the 60 –69 category were:  Female—Gloria Ferguson (1st) & Enid Wallace (2nd).  Male—Rick Hise (1st) & Steve Wallace (2nd).  The top overall female runner was Ashley Duvall and the top overall male runner was Craig Smith.
