Month 9 Attendance Winners

Posted On: Wednesday, June 3, 2015

Each attendance month of the second semester, students with perfect attendance (no absences or tardies) are put into a drawing for an iPad.  The district earned money to purchase these prizes from donations received from the KONA ICE company.  Each time KONA ICE visits the schools, they donate a percentage of their profit back to the school district to support attendance.  The district is using this money to give something back to the kids and support good attendance.  During the last week of school, the drawing was held for the iPad winners at each school for Month 9 attendance rewards.

As an attendance incentive, Director of Pupil Personnel Julie York also used some of the donated money from KONA ICE to purchase bicycles for students at the Early Childhood Center and at Albany Elementary School with PERFECT attendance for the school year.  Wal-Mart assisted by offering a 10% discount toward the purchase.  Clinton County Middle School and High School students with perfect attendance received a $50 SONIC card from the KONA ICE fund and sponsored by SONIC!  The iPad winner from CCHS was Steven Grider (not pictured).  Several CCHS students also received Sonic cards.
