Students Travel the World at 21st Century Summer Camp

Posted On: Wednesday, July 20, 2016

21st Century Summer Camp was held June 6th - July 1st at Albany Elementary School for students in grades 1 - 8.  This year's theme for Summer Camp was "Let's Travel the World!"  Each week, activities focused on the culture of a different country, including China, Mexico, Italy, and Germany.  Students learned about music, language, crafts, games, geography, science, and foods related to each country.  CCMS students also participated in STEM activities and learned how to use drones.  All participants went swimming at the Wellness Center on Fridays, and enjoyed field trips to the Somerset Community College Clinton Campus and Wolf Creek Fish Hatchery.  Clinton County Extension Office provided a food class each week, and CCMS students prepared an authentic food from that week's country.  Parents were invited to a Wednesday afternoon taste test before pickup time.
