On Friday, October 7th, AES students in the Gifted & Talented Program were transported Stearns, Kentucky to take a ride on the Big South Fork Scenic Railway. The train trip took the students on a 14 mile journey down to Blue Heron, the largest interpretive collection of historic coaling mining in America. Students toured the Blue Heron facility and participated in an educational program provided by Blue Heron Park Services.
