On Thursday and Friday, September 28th & 29th, Gifted & Talented students at Albany Elementary School and Clinton County Middle School were treated to an in-school Introduction to Engineering workshop provided by the staff from the Challenger Center. The program is intended to use short activities to provide career based exposure on various engineering professions, along with engineering core concepts. AES 1st – 4th grade students learned about coding using a program called Tynker. CCMS 5th & 6th graders explored the world of robots, by building and battling their own battery-powered LEGO robots. CCMS 7th & 8th grade students were introduced to logic and coding through scratch computer programming, learned about electrical engineering through a snap circuit lesson, and participated in an exciting virtual reality underwater experience.
