Posted On: Monday, December 11, 2017

On Friday, December 8, 2017, Gifted & Talented students at AES, CCMS, and CCHS participated in workshops with Kentucky Shakespeare, a non-profit, professional theatre company. In the elementary session—Bard Buddies—students performed the play Twelfth Night while exploring character, dialogue, and theme. In the middle and high school sessions — Boy Meets Girl Meets Shakespeare —Kentucky Shakespeare actors performed three sections form Twelfth Night, Hamlet, and Richard III. The actors then discussed with the students the differences and similarities between the comedy, tragedy, and history in content, structure, relationships, and theme.
