Clinton County Healthy Hometown is continuing the exciting “Fitness Buddies” program for students at Albany Elementary School during the spring semester. Fourth grade students from Albany Elementary School are taking a turn this time as "fitness buddies" for first graders. During this program, 20 fourth grade student volunteers are working with 20 first grade students once a week in the gym on fun, physical fitness activities. The goal of the program is to encourage both the mentors and mentees to get up and get moving! Participants are challenged to complete weekly nutrition and fitness goals, and are rewarded with small incentives along the way. Fitness Buddies participants were rewarded for their hard work with a trip to Sky Zone in Lexington on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. After this fun reward over spring break, the Fitness Buddies were back at it on Tuesday, April 10th with a game of dodgeball.
