AES Receives Read Across America Book Grant

The AES library was very fortunate to receive a Read Across America book grant from the Middle Cumberland Education Association of Retired Teachers, in memory of Mrs. Nita Faye Perdew. This grant awarded many books to AES. When retired teachers visited AES on March 2nd (Dr. Seuss's birthday), they read many of these books to our students. Gifted & Talented students from the high school also visited classrooms at AES and ECC as guest readers this week. They read books purchased by the Retired Teachers Association and then talked to the students about the importance of reading.
