On Thursday, November 9th, Clinton County Area Technology Center’s Health Science students visited the University of Kentucky’s Cadaver Lab. The Cadaver lab is located in UK’s Outreach Center in Med Center Annex 5. The Outreach Center is designed to enhance the knowledge and learning of Human Anatomy and Physiology as well as to encourage students to study science. The lab gives students the opportunity to actually see, feel, and hold human organs and various body parts. It allows the students to fully understand the anatomy of the organ and how it functions. Each of the students who attended received one-on-one time with Dr. Frasier and his assistant, Miss Stevens, tour coordinator. Dr. Frasier is a retired and well known physiologist who conducts presentations weekly with students across the state on his own time. This field trip was a rare and unique opportunity that most will never get to experience. Mrs. Billie Frye, Mrs. Ashley King, and their students would like to thank the UK Outreach Center for their time. They encourage all health science related programs to attend. There is no better learning than hands on!
