The Health Science students at Clinton County Area Technology Center had a rare opportunity on March 8, 2018 to enjoy a visit with Dennis Propp, a third year medical student at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Together with their instructors, Mrs. Billie Frye, RN and Mrs. Ashley King, RN, the students had prepared questions for Dr. Propp prior to his visit. Dr. Propp spoke with the local high school students about choosing a college, preparing for the college entrance exams such as the MCAT, selecting a specialty area, salary ranges, dealing with stress, motivation, importance of doing service work to help others in need, and many other topics. Our students posed some very interesting and thought-provoking questions for the college student. In turn, Dr. Propp gave wonderful insight for our students who are seriously considering a future in healthcare careers. This opportunity was facilitated by Dr. Tammy Brown and Bobbie Dicken, RN with Clinton Family Medical Center.
