Nurse Aide Students Assist with Health Fair

Posted On: Tuesday, December 4, 2018

The students enrolled in the Medicaid Nurse Aide Program at the Southern Kentucky Early College and Career Academy (SoKY ECCA) along with their Instructor Billie Frye, RN, assisted with the annual Health Fair at Dyer Drug Store on October 20th. The event allowed the students to gain experience in measuring blood pressures, pulses, and respirations. The students also distributed information about hypertension.  This event allowed the students to gain real-world experience related to health care.

The students and instructors would like to thank the community members for allowing the students to assess their vital signs and the Dyer Drug Store staff for allowing the students to participate in the annual health fair. Those students who participated include Christina Collins, Jennifer Ramirez, Emily Shelton, Abby Tallent, Zack Smith, Kaitlyn Brown, Haley Lowhorn, Kaytlen Matthews, Anna Blake, Brandi Sparks, Carlie Robbins, Makenzie Kerney, Tristan Moons, Angelina Pascual, Tori Franklin, Haley Allen, and Kylie Cole.
