Leadership Students Complete Service-Learning Project

The Lead to Succeed students from Clinton County Area Technology Center recently completed a service-learning project at Golden Harvest Village. On Wednesday, April 10th, twenty leadership students, along with teachers Mrs. Holly Claborn and Mrs. Ashley Ipock, traveled to Golden Harvest. While there, they visited with residents, washed windows and doors, planted flowers, and handed out pillbox organizers.

The Lead to Succeed course, created and funded through The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative, delivers principle-based ethics education, and reinforces the value of ethical business and personal conduct. Planning and implementation of a service-learning project is a required component of the course. The course is taught through the Business Department by Mrs. Holly Claborn.

Leadership students would like to extend a special thank you to the following businesses and individuals for their donations and help in making the project a success: Lifeline Home Health (Karen Talbott), Amedisys Home Health (Lee Jones), Robert’s Pharmacy (Laura Roberts),  Clinton County High School FFA and greenhouse (Ben Prewitt), Majors Pizza (Lamon Hubbs), Jay Tee Hardin Video, and bus driver Larry Thrasher.

A video of the service-learning project is available at the link below:
