Teachers Prepare for the School Year During Professional Development
Check out what our teachers have been doing for the past couple of weeks during their professional development sessions, preparing for the coming school year! Our elementary school teachers had four days of training for the Mathematics Achievement Fund grant and two days of training for the Read to Achieve grant. Our preschool teachers attended training at the Simpson County Regional Training Center on Using Early Childhood Standards to Write an Individualized Education Plan. Our kindergarten, middle school, and high school teachers spent several days working on Standards Literacy, Instructional Practices, and Assessment Development in Professional Learning Community teams. Our Foothills Academy staff attended the annual KECSAC At-Risk Conference and spent time on Curriculum Revision and Program Development. They are working hard to improve instruction this year and can’t wait to see our students next week!
